About Us

Malku Community Hub CIC is a registered Community Interest Company established with a vision to make a positive and lasting difference in the lives of individuals, families and communities.

We believe that everyone deserves to feel valued, supported and connected, regardless of their background, personal circumstances or challenges.

At the heart of our organisation is a commitment to compassion, inclusion and practical community support.

We recognise that people can face a range of challenges, including financial barriers, social disadvantage, isolation, lack of confidence and limited access to opportunities and support.

Our aim is to respond to these needs by creating opportunities, developing community partnerships and offering services that support wellbeing, strengthen families and encourage meaningful connections.

We recognise that financial difficulties, limited access to resources, social disadvantage and isolation can prevent people from accessing opportunities and services.

We aim to explore ways of reducing these barriers and increasing access to appropriate support.

We want to develop meaningful relationships within our communities, listen to local needs and create opportunities for individuals and families to become more connected.

Malku Funeral & Bereavement Support

Honouring Lives. Supporting Families. Creating Meaningful Farewells.

The loss of a loved one can be an emotionally overwhelming experience.

Alongside grief, families are often faced with the responsibility of making funeral arrangements, coordinating service providers and managing the many practical details involved in saying goodbye.

Malku Funeral & Bereavement Support provides compassionate, professional and culturally sensitive funeral planning and coordination assistance.

Our services include:

• Funeral planning guidance and family consultations

• Liaison with funeral directors and other providers

• Assistance with funeral venue arrangements

• Funeral programme content preparation

• Professional programme design and printing

• Coordination of flowers and other arrangements

• Funeral ceremony hosting and coordination

• Reception planning and hosting support

Our service has a particular understanding of the traditions and expectations that may be important to Black African and Caribbean families, while welcoming people from all backgrounds, cultures and faiths.

We aim to ease the practical burden of funeral arrangements, allowing families more time and space to grieve, remember and honour their loved ones.

As Malku Community Hub CIC grows, we aim to develop services that support individuals, families and the wider community.

• Community Chaplaincy & Listening Support: Providing compassionate listening, emotional and spiritual support, while creating opportunities for suitable chaplains to access paid job roles.

• Community Outreach & Wellbeing: Supporting individuals and families, promoting wellbeing and reducing social isolation.

• Community Partnerships & Volunteering: Working with local organisations and encouraging community involvement.
